Benfield Primary School

Last Wednesday, 20^th June, the Benfield athletics team of 35 children from Years 4, 5 and 6 performed fantastically well at the Withdean Primary Schools athletics tournament. We came first in our division of 8 schools for which we won a cup, and on top of that we came first overall in both the field and track events for all 24 schools and for that we won another 2 cups! An amazing result and we are extremely proud of our Benfield children for putting in such an incredible performance. The jingle of medals as we walked to our coach was deafening!

This week we heard that our application for the national annual School Sports Mark was successful and that we achieved a silver award. This is testimony to all the sports clubs that our children take part in and all of the sporting events that the school competes in.
