Portslade Partnership of Schools ‘working effectively for children’
The schools in Portslade are working hard to improve the educational outcomes for all children by working together. School leaders and staff believe they are ‘stronger together’ than working in isolation. The ten schools now working as part of Portslade Partnership of Schools are: St Peter’s Community Primary School; Hillside School, Downs Park School, Peter Gladwin Primary School; St Nicolas C of E Primary School, St Mary’s RC Primary School, Mile Oak Primary School; Brackenbury Primary School, Benfield Primary School and PACA.
A great deal of work has been going on over the last year including: sharing good practice; providing mutual support and challenge; sharing, discussing & resolving issues that affect children in Portslade.
The Partnership recently held a joint training day under the banner of ‘working effectively for children’. The schools pooled their resources to provide a much wider variety of training opportunities than they would have been able to do individually. Nearly 300 staff from Portslade schools took part.
Over the next year the schools will continue to make links and share their strengths to improve all schools in Portslade.
